Feena Fam Earthlight by Max Factory
nekosasu | October 21, 2009 | 3:21 amI didn’t know her, but it was pretty much love at first sight.
Although, I remembered seeing her very often in Megami Magazine. Yeah, she was that girl from Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na! But what was her name again… Ahh, wish I had read those articles more carefully instead of just gunning for the posters. The only thing I remember is looking at the new drawings of her every time. And a couple of weeks ago, a picture of her figurine on a random image board[1] struck me like lightning. Not only did it remind me of those times, but it was just simple and beautiful. But who on earth was this beauty! Looked to the sidebar of the page, her name is, Feena Fam Earthlight.
Spammed hundred of shop searches, to no avail. Released April 2008 and manufactured by Max Factory, it was long sold out, as expected. The last resort for a figure hunter being Japanese auction sites, the second to last one is – of course – eBay. And, miracle, coincidence, or whatever – there she was, untainted, and reasonably priced too.
I could lapidate myself for never noticing this figure before. Or perhaps I did, in fact, but was too blind to realize it. Well, now I finally did[2] so here goes, enjoy!
Quick note: those pictures were taken during the same day as Luca’s, so I might have made the same mistakes and experimental shots.
I quite like this picture.

Right, so here’s her removable skirt. |
Removed it in the beginning because I found it cuter, but… |

Time to focus on her…
…ribbons, of course.
Just what were you thinking!!

Here’s when the day ended, and as you could see from some pictures above, I did take a couple of them indoors. However, the next day, I just felt like taking some more pictures. Guess I really like this figure.

So! Here’s the same question again, which of these three pictures looks best to you (and/or which do you prefer)? The picture on the left with a smaller aperture value, giving the image a romantic, sunset-ish feeling? The one in the middle, with greater aperture, giving it a soft bloom and blur? Or the last one with the flash that gives full lighting and detail, but kind of ruins the composition?

What do I always say about simplicity? Often is the better choice indeed. ;)
I really enjoy looking at this splendid figure very much. Guess I have no excuses not to watch the anime and/or play the game now…[3][4]
- A random, not THE random -.-” [↩]
- once again at the expense of my already dried out wallet, but I don’t care this time!!!… [↩]
- Yes, I know, some images aren’t properly aligned, I wonder what the problem is too, but I can’t be bothered to look into it now. Actually I did but couldn’t find any immediate solution, so… it only affects the images that are between tables, so I guess it has something to do with …? Will see some other day. [↩]
- Fixed. ‘t was the <p> tag going nuts with indenting. [↩]

Great photos, as for which of those three I like the best – I think it depends on what you are looking for. All three are good for their purposes, I prefer the full lighting one myself since I want to see the detail and quality of the work.
Max Factory figures are usually high quality and this Feena lives up to that. I actually like the figure more with the towel on. Damn, so many nice figures out there. Good job on getting her!
Just curious, but what camera and lens are you using for these photoshoots?
Yah, I would have done more photos, had I been able to make her wear the towel properly… :<
I’ve come to like Max Factory a lot now too with Luca and Feena. (And the last fig that’s stuck in some warehouse in the UK is also from Max Factory, so… yay! :D)
The camera I use is a Canon EOS 1000D, in combination with a stock EF-S 18-55mm IS lens. I have a 50mm 1.8 lying around here, but it has very limited versatility so I rarely use it.
Nice legs! The shots of her lower body look really good, angles and lighting. Of those three in the middle, I’d say the center one. ^^
she’s very photogenic…
this is something that’s just hard to tell from stock photos before buying something :v
@RyanA: Yep, I am particularly fond of her extremely ナイスボディ :3 nyahahha… *is bricked by Hisui*
@omo: Agreed. Photogenicity (?) may be hard to tell beforehand for a lot of figs since promo pics are often either optimized to the max and/or shown from very few angles… But I think that this particular rendition of Feena is such an eye-catcher, it’s almost a given that she looks good no matter what.
I watched the anime before, and I wasn’t very impressed. I did, however, love Feena. Like you, it was love at first sight. We cheat on our fictional loves, though, BUT THAT’S A-OK.
The figure is lovely, and bathing suits are always delicious (and yeah, she does have a nice body). With the addition of Luca and Feena to your shelf, I can happily say that Hisui’s presence is finally growing smaller in my eyes. Yes, happily.
/end Hisui hate
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to turn off my 360 AGAIN. My cats love turning it on. =(
Don’t hate on Hisui, faggot. D:
Baby, don’t call me such terms. >=(
I will hate on whoever hates on Hisui, baby. >:|
I like it. I may now have to get some shots of my figures.
I prefer the 1st pic myself.
BTW, for a fairly low end DSLR, thse pics look pretty good.
whoa man! You’re gf is HAWT!!! =D…please… just sniff them, just for me! ;3
@Matt: Go ahead, take pictures of your figs! :D Kinda interested in which ones you got.
Also, yeah, fairly low end… I really couldn’t need any model above this. Not only for the price (poor neko is poor), but for the many functions I probably would never use. and 10 Mpx is more than enough. :)
