Ar Tonelico 3 Teaser Site Up!

Yep, Namco/Bandai and Gust are now gearing full throttle towards Ar Tonelico 3, now with the official release of the AT3 teaser site, which you can find here: http://ar-tonelico.jp/at3/.
Said site only offers a short 2 minute video, which doesn’t have that much to offer besides a revamped version of the Dive Shop/Load Game BGM (yay nostalgia![1] ), a new BGM extract, and two background images of Sol Cluster cities/locations.
As this is only a teaser, that’s unfortunately where the fun already stops for today. More to come when the official site will be launched on October 19th… in 4 days. Next Monday! I’m so looking forward to it!

Psh, I have to wait for the NA localization to play it – if they even decide to translate it. =/
They certainly will, there are no reasons why they shouldn’t… well, apart from knowing that they might end up doing another shitty job… in which case some other company might gladly jump in and do it properly? I wouldn’t mind, say, Atlus doing it. Or Square Enix. Or whatever.

You know me better than this! Besides, I don’t fancy Finnel’s design. Saki, however, is delicious. She does appear to be lacking a chest, though. If she turns out to be A-cup, I swear she’ll be the only exception to my “I’m not a lolicon” status. Er, second exception. Shut up.

…though, jokes aside, this actually gets me thinking. The reason why both heroines are loli-ish this is perhaps because they’re a little more β-pureblooded? I mean, recalling what Jakuri said in the end of AT2, that the society [on Sol Cluster] is ruled by Reyvateils, and they refuse entry to all non-Reyvateils, except human slaves. I suppose there would be less mixing then, hence a lesser presence of 3rd Generations… or something like that?
On the one hand, this would raise the question, how would they breed on Sol Cluster then, but on the other hand, betas don’t age after reaching 16-18 years of age (According to Wave Theory, their Nuclear Triangular Loop has a lifetime of about 150 years…)
Unless, then again, they’d have (Lost) Technology to help them rejuvenate/create new Reyvateils, and Humans would have to maintain those machines… Hah, right. Crazy stuff. So looking forward to the 19th and beyond, up to February where I will DEFINITELY get it.

I haven’t read up on a lot of the foundation for Ar tonelico’s universe, so that stuff about the NTL went above my head until I did read about it. Seems interesting, and equally mind-boggling. I may read deeper into it when I have the free time(read: boredom).
One thing I’ve been hoping for is the appearance of Luke. I would love to see Krusche’s ex-boyfriend turn out to be a slave on Sol Cluster. Of course, this would be made sweeter if Krusche makes an appearance, along with Jack. Damn, that’d be awesome.

Anyway. I totally forgot about Luke – and yeah that sounds awesomely awesome. As you say, it might imply that Krusche might be not far away (screw Jack – I want Aurica back), and, who knows… fight alongside Aoto? If we suppose that some time has passed between AT1 and AT3 (I think it was 1 or 2 years between AT1 and AT2), Krusche might actually have become… legal. No. I don’t want that. NOOOOOO!OOOO!!
My guess is that they would be using the same method that Mir planned for Reyvateilia: make Betas through an schedulied cloning system, preventing overpopulation issues (which Mir also said herself that now she thinks that its a pretty stupid idea for a paradise). This was revealed in a past Toukousphere issue.
