Saki 16 – Captain, we’re running out of yuri fuel
nekosasu | July 22, 2009 | 5:24 pmAs expected, Koromo showed off her Mahjong powers in this episodes, kicking royal butt around the table.
So apparently, her Mahjong skills are magnified by the full moon? What the vampire she is. Neko mimi mode anyone? In any case I sure hope that there will be a lunar eclipse in the decisive part of the game.
As is the custom when facing presumably stronger opponents, the mere presence of these beings creates a suffocating atmosphere. Nevermind Kodomo’s Mariyan vibes, but our girls are way too easily intimidated. This ain’t Dragon Ball! You all know you can do better!
After Amae’s two haiteis, it was obvious that all the players were cowering in fear in their own corner – but why must they play this game alone? If they keep focusing on Koromo, they will inevitably lose track of their own game. Protip, girls: solidarity! Remember Mihoko! Unite your forces to fall the Kodomo!
Well, Yumi-chin kind of acted in that way by playing into Saki’s ron and blocking Koromo’s haitei hat trick, although this was more to limit her own point loss than trying to give Saki an edge. But if they keep playing like this, I’m sure they will definitely bring that underdeveloped toddler down.
But yeah, first hanchan is over, and all of the three underdogs need to refill their self-confidence quota with some quality yuri love. Especially Nodocchi will need to milk it all out for Saki. And I can’t wait to see how Saki will be able to make her comeback.
Memorable moments:
That leg. That leg. That leg. That leg. That leg. That leg. That leg. That leg. That leg. That leg. That leg. That leg.
By the way, I was watching the Tour de France alongside this episode of Saki. And, in my sudden outburst of national pride, I really must express my congratulations to Frank Schleck for winning today’s stage, and his brother Andy Schleck for leading him all the way down! Gudd gemeet jongen, maacht weider sou!

Yuuki has no shame XD
