RFP – Nendoroid Kagamine Rin

Rin greets you!
Here is something I have been meaning to post for a couple of weeks already, but I never really got around to actually do so. For once, my anime-related posts took precedence, and I am quite happy with everything so far. But since this is a RFP, a Random Filler Post, you guessed it right: I can’t post about anime today. So now I think it is time to showcase one new acquisition of mine: a Kagamine Rin Nendoroid.
My first Nendo! And perhaps not my last one either.
I have to admit though, I would not have ordered it if it had not been on sale at HLJ (it still is, by the way) but I think that sooner or later, I would have given in to this Nendoroid craze anyway. Better start off with a cute and cheap one, right?
Of course, the exact same phenomenon happened with Rin than it did with my Miku figma last year – I absolutely suck at thinking of a nice pose for my figurines, so it might look either repetitive or unoriginal. Compared to back then, though, I have a better camera now, so it will at least look clean.
Besides, as this is my first Nendo, I had absolutely no clue how to make it stand straight without resorting to those small plastic parts. Although I suppose that they are often simply shopped away in promo images, I’d like to know how others manage to keep those darn Nendos balanced. Feedback goes into the comment box!

She kept keeling over, and eventually suffered a small dent in her front hair. And the right ribbon kept coming off. :|

Small interlude. Even weeds can look nice. The whole terrace does need some RoundUp though.
I cannot name this plant, but is sure looks darn awesome.
Back to singing!
Instead of plain white sheets of paper, I could just have used a white cloth to cover the desk. I can be so dull sometimes.
And Rin finally joins the Epic Shelf of Doom. Standing in front of my Punk Rock CD collection, mainly Bad Religion though.
And both have been singing ever since. Medetashi medetashi.
Even the ARIA girls look all blurred. Our beloved undines need to take up singing to compete now.
Ahh, so much randomness. I don’t know when I will get a new Nendo, if ever. Waiting for a really interesting one and/or another sales item.
By the way, I have pics of a Riannon figure here… tomorrow maybe? Stay tuned.

Rintan~ I think nendroids are adorable but putting them together (and making sure they dont fall on their face) is the most irritating thing ever. I have a small mikuru nendroid and she irritates the shit out of me, especially when her freaking arms fall off =_=;;;

So. Cute! She’s a cheery little thing, huh. Day lighting came out pretty nice.
I don’t think she will be your last, neko-kun! There will be more to come, and I’m sure more that you will love as well!
Just keep playing with her, and who knows what you can do with her! She is very customisable! ^^

What a coincidence that Rin is my first and only Nendoroid too. She is both of our gateways into the world of Nendoroids.

@Hinano: Well so far the arms didn’t fall off yet, only her ribbon did, every time Rin fell flat on her face. ~.~
@RyanA: Yep, outside is much better than inside (at least not with my poor 60W Tungsten lamps.
@jusuchin: Well, I sure would buy more, like Riannon or Saber Lily, but not only am I short on funds, but I might also not be in the country once Saber arrives. (I will be studying in the UK in fall so…)
@Tamad: Yep, although I probably wouldn’t have gotten her if there wasn’t that sale at HLJ. And I wonder why Len was sold out so fast there… Only logical explanation I can think of is Len’s Keyboard. :(
@Neko-kun: True, true. But if there’s a chance to pre-order then take it, man. Not easy to get it once it’s sold out! ^^
