No actual screenshots this time, because I watched it over a stream. And then I keep CTRL+C’ing, which clears the screens in the clipboard. :| But here’s a random Sonoko pic, for your viewing pleasure.
Yeah, yeah. Where’s the real content, etc, well I’m working on it. As you must have noticed at melative, I’ve caught up to Cross Game, and I’m loving it so far – but I have yet to write a post about it. Might follow in the next few days, if I can get my mind off TF2. But first, I just finished watching the latest DC arc, and… dunno. I’m kind of sobered up.
I guess it’s only natural. After hundreds of episodes of interesting, eventful stories and plot development which I consumed back-to-back, I now realize the obvious: following such a long-running series, which is likely to run for twice as long, is a rather tedious task. Heck, I already bail out mid-series on a 12-ep season to batch it all in the end in my own Rule 7 spirit.
I’m making it sound as if this recent arc was utterly bad, which it clearly isn’t though. I don’t get tired of the showdowns between Suzuki Jirokichi and Kaitou Kid. It has got the usual mystery about who of the usual suspects is Kid, and of course, it is the one you’d expect the least. Kind of.
Now, the reason why Kid was there, of course, was one which made me facepalm a little, and which rendered the end of this episode a little dull. At first, seeing the traps on the safe, it seemed as if Jirokichi wanted Kid to trigger some deadly weapon or something to get rid of him, but no. He, who usually sports an unwavering pride, actually explicitly (in an implicit kind of way) asked for Kid’s help to open that safe. Because Lupin, the dog, is locked inside. It was an okay episode, but the usual “Ah”-effect was missing. The suspense in the previous ep made me hope for some epic showdown, as usually is the case.
The next episode could save this current down, but the preview showed that it will be a rerun of episode 12, Ayumi’s Kidnapping. Good, it might be a remastered version, but… Gah. I’m craving for a plot arc! Where’s the Black Organization! Don’t make me wait longer than 2 weeks!

I damn you. I know I said that I’d take it slowly if I started watching this, but my pace is faster than expected. Insert first sentence here.
Also, what the tongue Sonoko has.
Just as keikaku. :3
