Zalman? I have a 7000cu in my dead PC which weighs a ton! A laptop is always a useful backup machine after your studies in Venice. You can do stupid things like running 8x MMORPG accounts, up from 4x.

Laptop numbers are indeed a pain in the butt but I do actually prefer the reflective screens as they work *much* better indoors versus the standard screens. Might come in handy in a clusterfeck like Venice with limited natural light indoors.

You and your NDS addiction, but you're not alone as I have my own addictions as well, which is delaying me reading ARIA vol 4,5,6 which I got for Xmas, Helping my sis move flats, Birthday respectively!

Ah I see, RyanAir hehe! 4 HDD would be a pain to lug around, even if you shipped the other components via carrier. Caitlin (caitlinomara.com) recently came back from JP for holidays and had to just pack a bunch of stuff in a box to ship rather than take it on her flight. Anyway, it's a big pain I'm sure.

Laptop is a solid choice anyway. I don't have a desktop throughout the week when I stay downtown for school, but I do often hook up an external lcd ^^

Awwww, well you haven't quit blogging, but of course its going to be difficult when motivation isn't all there, and life gets busy. I had that too for a while in Summer 2007 to about December, but even in 2008 I slacked a bit. It's not worth forcing the writing, or viewing experience, plus there are always quicker ways* to blog/reflect on stuff that could later become timeless posts... no need for episodic stuff when life is busy. :)

You Is In Mah Google Reader! <3 Hope you come on chat sometime even if it isn't in #ab.

*twitter is fast, but disorganized. tumblr is neat. I use melative reflections since they categorize well and don't feel exhausting, plus they fit if I ever want to note/reflect something about other media (games, magazines, books, w/e)

Haha, I write that digress statement for shits and giggles, to see and laugh at those who actually care about it. Not gonna write them off as facetious hypocrits yet, but I'm getting closer.
Yeah, these days I feel like I'm treating my two readers as ignorant pricks (except you RyanA ofc), and I feel a little bad about it but then again it seems like that's the trolling shit these days. Too bad almost nobody reads this, I'd have liked to have some more feedback ;) But I'll leave the jealous-procrastinator-blogger act for later, right now I'm too happy to do that.

Well you see, RyanAir (always loved to say that in a reply to you) has a pretty anal luggage policy, and anything over 15kg earns you horrendous fees. My desktop comp, as "lightweight" as the package used to say it is, is probably over 15kg with its 4 HDDs, 2 optical drives, uber heavy PSU and a Zalman cpu fan. I'd need to take at least some change of clothes to Venice :(
Also, buying a new LCD screen there would be pretty onerous (and even more annoying to bring it back home once I'm finished there). Which is why I'd spend a little more for a good lappie that I can take along everywhere. (As such, it'd be less prone to flooding, go figure.........)

Wait, I’m digressing again

lol Yea, that digress statement is like, usually unneeded and overused... it's like, just start a new paragraph, and say nothing... I wonder why bloggers use it so much, do we all ADHD or some shizzle.

Centrinooooo! Personally, I'd send the desktop, take the HD, keyboard and mouse on the plane, and buy an lcd there. Then I'd go for something ultra-compact, like with a centrino ULV cpu. But, centrino is awesome anyway. I think my notebook has old school Core Duo, but on the standard battery, which is 2 years old, I still get 3 hours and on the extended battery I get about 5.5-6... good stuff.
