*Wakes up and yawns*

September 1st. It’s been quite a while, folks.

The question everyone must be thinking now is, as it has always been the custom on this blog: Where the hell have you been, neko?

The answer is easy: “It’s complicated”. Let me explain.

After my latest post, I went ahead and bought myself a Nintendo DS – I finally discovered the magic of homebrew and roms, and immediately delved into the universe of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Because of that, I couldn’t even finish the first route of Yume Miru Kusuri I had been playing frantically up to that day. So, I took my time on the first game. I took my time on the second game. I took my time on the third game (which I haven’t finished yet, btw). And as if it wasn’t enough time-consuming, I often interrupted my gaming sessions to watch the Beijing Olympic Games. That severely messed up my sleep pattern again, since the competitions always started at 3 AM.

OBJECTION! NO U!

Towards the end of Olympia, my internet started acting up. I wouldn’t be able to access some websites and stuff, which was temporarily fixed by switching to OpenDNS. I wasn’t all to worried back then, so I continued my daily routine – until the day my mum barged into my room, unplugged all my power cables and decided to renovate my room. Indeed, she’d warned me that we would start putting a new wallpaper onto the wall, and painting the room. Well, that took a couple of days too. At least the room looks cute now, the color is a very light blue… like the sky…

The best solutions were too big for that small space.

My bed broke down while I was standing at the edge, applying lacquer on the wooden ceiling. I had tossed my screens and computers and shelves on it, no wonder that cheap bed was bound to break. So I decided to take a day off my routine to check at IKEA and some other furniture shop for a new bed, and also new furniture in my room. In the evening, I returned home with only a shelf in hand. The bed would take 2 months to be delivered, and I couldn’t find an appropriate storage solution for my room either. Hope I’ll find something soon, or I’ll just build something myself…

Meantime, my internet started acting really weird. Couldn’t connect to a lot of things, IRC networks, torrents, games, lots of sites. I thought something was wrong with my ISP’s DNS servers, so I waited, but it wouldn’t fix itself.

SOUND TEH ALART.

Normally I would panic over it and try to find an immediate fix, but I have to admit that this time I really wasn’t in a hurry to get it fixed. Couldn’t be bothered with all the ongoing crap mentioned above. And if I can play NDS, Pangya (-370 now, beat that!) and get my weekly fix of Geass, I’m happy. Eventually (namely: today) a technician fixed my splitter and phone socket. Guess they must’ve been damaged during the renovation process a few days ago (and I know who’s at fault here…). Should be ok now, I can connect to everything fine yet.

And I have yet to decide which direction to go, USA, UK or Venice… Aah. Boring stuff, justifying my long absence once again, excuses excuses you know the drill. You weren’t worried about me were you? No~.

Anime-wise, not much happened, but yesterday I came Geasses. A few weeks ago, I got my ARIA Perfect Guidebooks. And today, I got quite a lot of stuff: An Arcueid figurine (which I missed last Friday already), a Himeya Company t-shirt and, to top things off, a very… very cute Yumil figure. I’m a happy lolicon now. You’ll see in a few days, when I’ll post pics of it… Oh wait, the hot pics would go against ab.net’s TOS. Aww, too bad. Anyway I need to recharge my camera batteries now. And finally prepare the long overdue Day 3 of my Venice trip. And its aftermath. Mmh, I guess I’ll be busy for a while now.
