Boredom.

Le Sigh Deluxe. I was sitting at the university in that empty computer room for 2 hours, almost dozing off on the keyboard. How did that happen?

Oh yeah. I was totally oblivious to the fact that today’s course started at 11.45 AM and not at 10 AM. And since I usually arrive there at 9.30… -_-…

However, I guess that thing also had its advantages. Since I had no sources of distraction whatsoever there at the university (no anime, no lolis, no games), I actually spent some time thinking about my blog and stuff. You know, the basic things that everyone except me manages to do on their blog with ease.

I’ve been into a gaming frenzy again as of lately. Yes, again. My interests vary periodically, and recently the change kicks in almost every week: if the first week totally motivates me to watch and blog anime, the second week usually sets me back into gaming (A18/Pangya S4/Audiosurf/Touhou/CS:S/etc.), and makes me omit the rest. An exception exists perhaps every three months, when I get a sudden urge to make wallpapers, but that usually doesn’t go beyond the scan extracting stage.

I am literally torn between all my different interests.

As you might have noticed, these past few weeks my reviews have become pretty scarce, apart from my enthusiastic ARIA reviews. The rest were either random notices about myself or my money dilapidation in January. Despite picking up Spice and Wolf and Minami-ke ~Okawari~, I almost did not write about those. Also, looking at the “Blogging” part of the navigation on the right, I also see Kodomo no Jikan and Gundam 00… Yes, they are totally outdated.

It’s been looming for quite some time now, but I think I subconsciously became a Rule 7 addict. In case you didn’t know, Rule 7 is “Thou shalt not download anime until thy series hath been finished.” I got that rule from my old friends at the [AN]Anime Nation DC++ hub (forgot about all the other rules though). Anyway, this rule is self-explanatory, and I found myself abiding by it pretty often as of lately. Which means: I suck at waiting weeks for a single episode.

No wonder that I didn’t follow neither KnJ nor Gundam 00 after their first episodes. KnJ now is finished, and G00 is already at Episode 20… So basically, both qualify for Rule 7. Which is why I’ll just label them Rule 7 instead of Watching/Blogging, this might be less misleading in the navigation, I hope.

About the more recent anime, Minami-ke Okawari and Spice and Wolf, I initially wanted to wait until I caught up with ARIA to get back to those. However, I really don’t feel like watching Okawari now, the first episode totally displeased me, and I am close to dropping actually – however, I will just place it on hold for the time being. Spice and Wolf (ECONOMYYYYY like on nicovideo), I’ll marathon eps 3 to 9 in the next days.

However, I had a positive surprise this week as I started watching true tears. As I expressed it in my guest review on T.H.A.T., it really caught my interest in some way or another, so I decided to watch it. And after episode 8, I was already pulling my hair off because I broke Rule 7 again…….. Anyway, I will write a review about these episodes tomorrow.

What else… I also noticed that the current poll is utterly outdated, it’s been running for almost 2 months, and I never got around to evaluate the results nor to think of a new and better one. I’ll think of something tomorrow in the train ^^ Or, anyone can raise an interesting question about this blog, or anything. Suggestions are welcome, etc.

Also, I have been considering to recruiting a second writer to this blog, so the gaps between my own mindless entries could be fixed. However, I’m not really sure about that yet since I’m obviously self-centered and highly anal about popularity. I will give proper notice if I will pull this through or not.

Last but not least… I will be translating episode 8 of ARIA for HnK, since Suzuran will be concentrating on school for a few weeks. I know many people prefer CrystalNova over HnK for any possible reason – I did as well, TL-wise at least. (Even though waiting for CN on purpose is batshit stupid.) But now that I am doing the translation, perhaps this might change? XD I’d encourage everyone to give it a watch at least, and admire my wonderful lack of Japanese knowledge. And no, I will try NOT to procrastinate on that one. Serious Business.
