Suddenly, Books! Hundreds of them!

Wish I could enjoy them as much as Sae right now.
Perhaps I should have used a pic of Yomiko, but she’s definitely not as cute.
Oiisu! Well, it’s already been a few days since my last update, but unlike the many other times, this time I did not go on a hiatus. You might not believe it, but I actually worked these past few days! …or at least I worked enough to give me some kind of good conscience. Well, perhaps not so good this time, but oh well, I am improving.
It’s more of a question of doubt than laziness actually. As I so often said, I might be going to Japan if I am granted the five year scholarship – however, the results will most likely be out in January the earliest, which is why I went to local university: 1. not to let the time go to waste, and 2. a guarantee that I still could continue the in the current direction if I am not granted the scholarship.
At first, point 1 was supposed to be “killing time”, but that’s really silly. I mean, if I was 100% sure of going to Japan, I most likely would not make any greater efforts without any remorse, but the point at the moment is: I don’t know at all. I apparently did get recommended to the Japanese government, sure, but who tells me it is a guarantee that they will pick ME, out of the… hundreds? of applicants to that scholarship throughout the world? Saa.
I have to admit, I have been very dilettantish with studies these past few weeks. English Studies, shitloads of books to read, and occasionally writing an essay or having a presentation, and the final exams blabla. Sounds easy, but it is not. At least not to a certain extent, if you do follow the guidelines and read your books.
All my life, I have been underestimating the books that I had to read for school: unless they were really interesting (like, relevant to my interests… huh, no anime books? T_T), I usually procrastinated the big one only to read the book in a haste a (few) day(s) before my supposed knowledge about that book would be prompted. What worked in high school does not work at university though, or at least not with the same easiness.

As you can see, I have quite some trouble with books.
Up to now, my knowledge about most books was not really prompted yet, which is why I roughly only read half of the books we had to read until now (about 5 of 11, if not more, lol). With some essays and presentations that I had (or still have) to write/prepare, I finally got a late incentive to read some of them. Problem is, it’s already a huge amount of stuff that I have yet to read, and most of those have 200+ pages… And I am quite a slow reader, not only because I tire myself while reading, but because I lose my focus very quickly (especially when I’m not in the mood). I easily am distracted… and then I procrastinate. Reminds me of my finals last year, heh. Guess I haven’t learned my lesson yet. Wish those books were mangas, or so. I used to devour those… not in swalllowing those, silly.
Either way, now you know why I haven’t posted anything new these past few days, and most likely will not in the next few days either, at least not on a regular basis (…have I ever?). I should find some time to watch at least Gundam 00, I said I would be head on to blog it, and I haven’t watched it yet… baka neko!
And in exactly 20 days, it’s my birthday. Ironically, the 21st is the last day of school before winter break and the exam period. Ghahaha… T_T
