Think of it as Clare's technical 50% at that point being her 80% while being that badly injured. Irene (Ep.2) was awaking because she was weak-minded, Clare was awaking in ep.4 because at that time the human side of her was very weak, too. She was badly hurted plenty of times and not fully recovered yet. So she was so tired, the human side of her was losing control of the youma side. As for why Clare is 47th when she has the flesh and blood of Teresa inside her... well, maybe what makes Teresa so powerful is her knowledge in using Youma's powers. Maybe Clare has some of Teresa's powers, but stil don't know how to use them (Teresa would NEVER have such hard time fighting Youmas in ep.1~4). Clare still has a looooooong way to go... @
