Procrastination, or How To Successfully Mess Up Your Studies

Unlimited STUDY WORKS

Seems like I haven’t updated in a week… oO Well, I just thought, in an extended procrastination streak, to give you a little heads-up on what is happening right now.

So. I must admit, things are not looking too well for me. At least I suspect so. I mean, I fixed my studying schedule beforehand, and I was dead determined to follow it to the letter, well guess what… except for the day before Biology written exam, I have NOT studied even ONCE until now. 22nd, 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th. Five days. Wasted. And I already wasted 5 days after the Biology orals 2 weeks ago, make that 10 days in total. AT LEAST. Those are only the days I seriously planned on studying (I already thought about that during easter holidays… lol). But it seems I haven’t learned my lesson yet.

It would be too easy and too early to blame it on something else than my bad procrastinating habits, although… Yeah, the PC is to blame. I can’t spend a day without my daily fix of Melty Blood, or Stepmania, or anime, and what-not, and ever since I found out how to bypass the dorm proxy’s firewall (once again), I seem to be distracted by the sheer view of my downloads (yay torrents -_-). This weekend finally looked like I could just start studying as I should, but then there were so many things that happened at once, the most outstanding thing being the fact that I was finally able to sell my car (albeit at a fairly small price, but then again, it’ll cost 3 times the price to repair it moahhaha). However, it was such a stressful weekend that I really couldn’t find any peace of mind to get into any subject, like physics, and the likes. A shame.

Nevertheless, at least one day of those 10 was worth it. I marathoned Nodame Cantabile until ep 14, and I’m totally blown away. MUKYA~! It’s been quite some time that I have only been looking at the opening animation, thinking, “oh that must be a nice series”, but as always I never watched an entire episode until that fateful day where I was so busy doing nothing (sic) and just started watching. And now I’m hooked on classical music, again. Back to the roots, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, and the likes. Heck, I even want to play the piano again, after 5 years. I wonder if I could play it again… at least the opening song. ‘Allegro Cantabile’ by Suemitsu and the Suemith sure is a catchy tune (which was the main reason why I started watching it). Need to find the sheet music yet… GYABO!! I digress.

Bottom line? If I keep this up I will definitely fail. Just looking at all the stuff I have yet to study is overwhelming me. I have exactly one week until things get dead serious. Instead of a comfortable 4 days to prepare myself for each subject, I only have one day and a half now. Just when will my bad conscience kick in? I wonder. I hope not too late.

Yappari off-topic. Still, I want a Hisui towel. Anyone could lend a helping hand? (anything else than Yahoo Auctions JP or so would be quite cool ^^; thx)
I’d give a kingdom for Hisui…. T_T

  1. I have the same procrastination habit that started about last year. Although my body does it on it on its own, my mind says “Get the hell off the computer and study”, it just doesn’t.

And when I finally get off from whatever I’m on, whether it be video games or the PC, I just lay there and do… nothing. o_o I’m trapped in a spell of my own body.

My advice to you is, GET TO WORK NOW! I remember when I had to do an oral presentation and only had 2 days to work on it due to me procrastinating… it turned out I slacked off the other day and the rest of the next so I only had time over night to do it. Almost failed, ALMOST. I probably have half the grade I could’ve gotten since I had to give it to one teacher (supposed to give it to two) because i wasn’t ready. ):

    Heh… Good luck studying. o.o

Hisui towel? UHHH… I only buy figures. xD
