Still awesome – Gundam SEED Destiny 39-41

This should be: Dental Plan!
This should be: Dental Plan!

This will be a shorter entry since I’ve been wasting too much time on the previous one, and until now, not many things have happened. However, the few things I am reporting about are of very important significance. According to that, here’s my immediate reaction:

.:05.12:.:22:40:00:. <+nekosasu> omg
.:05.12:.:22:40:02:. <+nekosasu> I CAME HARD

The more I expect things to suck, the more I get excited when I sense even the slightest amount of WIN. And there was some WIN indeed.

Yet another new machine...
Yet another new machine…

What happened? Well… As predicted, Athrun was taken to Orb. Not the hostile Orb we know though, with Jona and Unato in power. It seems that there is a little factory or so near Orb, where the Archangel can be repaired. But, Meyrin’s data (if she ever has taken some with her) wasn’t used for the new Mobile Suits. Through some way or another, the Eternal, where Lacus and Waldfeld are, was able to produce a new unit for Kira – we don’t know if other units have been produced, and for who? I mean, how would they have known that Athrun would come back? Anyway. The new machine, as I already mentioned in my earlier post, has incredible firepower. Its name, Strike Freedom, leads me to think that they combined the best featured of the Strike and the Freedom to create this more than awesome Gundam. Also, from the design, it even has some golden parts… it just owns. I’m anxious to see how it’s going to resolve the conflict.

Isn't it just beautiful?

Back to Athrun. He is injured, and currently resting in the same room as Neo Lorrnoke… Or was it Mwu la Fllaga after all?? Because now I am really confused. I assumed he might have been a clone, but… As Murrue pointed out, how come he remembered the communication code for the bridge, if he has never been on the ship before? Mwu? But, didn’t he die back then in Jachin Due, right before Murrue’s eyes? I mean, there was no way for him to survive that, was there? Getting away with merely a scar and amnesia, that’s a bit too easy. Well… Wait, in the preview for episode 42, I can see him in a cockpit… Now what!! Did he join forces with the Archangel as Neo? Or did he remember his true identity and naturally adhered to his origins? Grr…

A golden Gundam? Priceless.
A golden Gundam? Priceless.

Erm… yeah, Athrun. Since he’s quite heavily injured, it’s impossible for him to board a Gundam for the time being. Cagalli, however, gets a new unit! Yay! And, who’d have thought that it would be from his late dad, who kept that a secret… How many secrets did that man have?? I hope it’s his last one! In the end he’ll have hidden 20 other units somewhere around Orb… Anyway, this new Gundam, Akatsuki, is totally golden. Now, that’s sure… A mark of prestige and wealth, I suppose? Not that it looks bad, but in my opinion it looks quite flashy, if you will. Well, at least Cagalli is able to kick some ass with that, and to take back control over Orb forces. I’ll never forget Jona’s enthusiasm as he acknowledged Cagalli’s superiority, only to be reprimanded and arrested. Haha, what a sad face.

Oh hi I upgraded ur RAM.

The Destiny Plan… I really can’t imagine what that is supposed to mean. Sure, Lacus seems worried about it, but what is it about? The page where those two words are written on contains some thing about replacing DNA and a chart with different animals’ average life span… And I bet these things will be completely unrelated to what the Destiny Plan really is.

Well, that’s already about all I had to say. As for episode 42 on, it seems like the Archangel will clash with the Minerva once again, and Kira will be facing… emo Shinn… Pff this time the Destiny will be no match for the Strike Freedom. At least I believe it to be so, yet… I wonder what Rey will have to say there. Cagalli will be on the front as well, and, as I said above, Neo/Mwu as well. Athrun, confined to stay in bed, will most probably have some fun times with Meyrin in the meantime. Teehee :3

Okay, ep 41 was a recap. Recaps aren’t really needed, especially when the series is now heading for the last sprint. But there have been plenty of recaps in Gundam SEED as well, so for now… I can’t really see where ithe rest of the series is going to suck. Well, guessing that the 3 people I labeled as ‘bad’ in my previous entry will someone’s enemies, they should be taken care of as well, which will somewhat go outside the scope of the remaining 9 episodes yet to come. But I better watch it for myself now.
Wait wait! Murrue usually announces the next episode of Gundam Seed with a catchphrase, followed by a Gundam’s name. This time she said… “Become a gust of wind, Dom!” Dom? Whose Gundam is that? Neo’s? Athrun’s? Meyrin’s?? Mite goran nasai!
